Explanation on: Why people borrow books from the library.
Why do people borrow books from the library?
People borrow books from the library because it helps keep their brain going. They also borrow books because it can be very interesting to read. There are different types of books like, adventure,fantasy,romance,history,our days and excitement. There are also chapter books, comics,short books,novels and ordinary books.
People borrow books from the library because it helps them in their general knowledge. They also borrow books because it helps build up their vocabulary. People borrow books from the library because they enjoy reading and it’s free. The can borrow books from different author’s. Also because the library has many books to choose from. The nice thing about borrowing books from a library is that you can get as many books as you like for no cost (free) as long as you are a member of that library. It’s could to get books because you can learn new words from it. The main thing about a book is that you have to understand it and you have to know the meaning of the words. When you are getting a book from the library you have to make sure that you can read it,make sure it is appropriate for you age and most importantly you have to know what the message in the books is and means. A book can be very interesting and fascinating at times but sometimes it’s not about how cool it is, it’s about making sure you know what you’re reading. If you know what you are reading then you should be able to explain it properly. Sometimes people don’t know what they are reading so that means that they could be reading it too fast, they can’t read it, they don’t know what the words mean and they don’t understand the whole meaning of the book.

Book review 16: Dork diaries #1

This book is about a teenager girl named Nikki Maxwell who goes to Westchester high school. At Westchester high school there is one very popular girl and that girl’s name is Mackenzie Hollister. Nikki is the opposite of Mackenzie, she is a total dork. Nikki has a special diary which she writes in all the time. She has that diary because sometimes she can’t express her feelings very well so she writes in her diary (special notebook) which she finds easier. Mackenzie Hollister is the meanest person out of the whole school. She is also a mean bully who bullies nearly everyone in the school but mostly Nikki. Nikki has a big crush on a boy at her school. That boy’s name is Brandon. Nikki has had a crush on him from 1’st grade. Brandon is a photographist (person who journalizes or takes photos of random things). He is also a writer who writes the breaking news (interesting news that you find on the newspaper). Mackenzie also has a big crush on Brandon. So Mackenzie and Nikki are always fighting and competing who gets Brandon first. Mackenzie Hollister always copies Nikki Maxwell because whenever Nikki enters a competition Mackenzie always enters to try and win and so that she can embarrass Nikki in front of the whole school. Nikki has a crazy family compared to Mackenzie’s. Nikki has a crazy sister named Brianna and she has a puppet called Miss Penelope. The craziest thing about that is, it is not an actual puppet, it is Brianna’s hand. Then Mackenzie’s family, well she has just a Mum and no Dad. Her house is pretty because it is a mansion and because she has the most popular mum. Nikki’s house is pretty but very messy. She calls her house (home) a dork house because her home is full of dorks. She thinks that the biggest dork in the house would be her (Nikki). Do you think that Nikki will be a dork forever?. My favourite character in this book would be Nikki because she is always acting funny and weird. I rate this book an 10/10 because it was very encouraging to my vocabulary and also because it was very interesting to read.
I recommend this book for 8 and over because it has some hard words and also because it is a fantastic book. I also recommend this book for people who love to read dork diaries.
