1. Are you pleased with your artwork? Why / why not?
Yes because it had a variety of colours and also contained different types of patterns. Some of
the artwork I wasn't pleased with because I felt that even though I had a variety of colours,
some of them didn’t blend in very well with the other colours.

2. What was challenging when you did your sequential pattern artwork?
It was challenging to paint the artwork because it was quite hard to try and stay inside the lines.
It was even more challenging to try and paint the patterns when the patterns were quite
detailed. It was also quite hard to choose the colours because you wanted to make sure that
the colours would work together nicely.

3. What could you adapt / modify with your artwork?
I would change some of the patterns I did to make it more easier for me to paint, and I would
try and choose my colours of paint more wisely next time. I would’ve also liked to make the
black lines more bolder so that it could stand out more and also to maybe draw some more
advanced patterns rather than just lines going different ways.

4. Who / what helped you with your sequential pattern artwork?
Miss.Paton helped me a little bit by giving me some ideas of what to draw and what colours
might work nicely. I also used google to find some images and patterns that I could transfer
into my artwork. There were other people who finished their artwork before me, so I had a look
at other peoples art to try and find some inspiration for mine.

5. If you were to teach a new person how to create your artwork under your theme
(Romero Britto or Aboriginal Art) what would be the teaching points / tips?

To choose colours that are going to work nicely together and to also draw some things that
you like. Another important tip is to draw patterns that you’re going to find easy painting but
also making sure the patterns are detailed enough to make it stand out.

6. What have you learnt about this process?
To take my time and not rush things through. I found that when I rushed some of my art, the
paint would go outside of the lines and I would just be picking up random colours rather
than thinking what colours would look nice. Overall, I think I did a good job considering I am
new to this style of artwork and the process was really fun and cool but also very challenging!
