  1. Kia ora AJ,

Welcome to the this years Summer Learning Journey. Congratulations on completing your very first activity. I have been overwhelmed with the amount of activities completed by students within the Ako Hiko cluster, it is very exciting. I see that you have been busy already, completing almost all of the activities in day 1 and 2. That is incredible, I cannot wait to read them all.

You have kicked your journey off to a great start, sharing three interesting facts. I love that our country has a meaning behind it's Maori name, Aotearoa. When I did some research today, I found that there are two stories behind the meaning 'the land of the long white cloud'. Both of these stories involve voyagers being guided, or following the long white cloud and coming across our land. Do you know the name of these voyagers? If not, Maybe you could check our the Te Ara website where I found these stories.

I am so excited to see more awesome posts from you, AJ. Maybe on your next post, you could include more information about the activity you are completing. This will help the visitors to your blog understand what the activity is that you are responding to.

Keep up the great work AJ,
    Megan :)
