Summer learning journey- Activity 3: Weird and wonderful

To keep the cactus alive, you must give it 3 ml of water every day.
Over one full year, how much water will you need to give your cactus plant?

My method to working this out was:
There are 365 days in a year so I multiplied it with the 3 ml. My working out was algorithm as you can see I have carried numbers.

My Answer:
1095 ml

I admire the way you have solved this question. One more thing, I loved how you included your information of how you solved your answer.

  3. Malo e leleli AJ,

I can see some good thinking took place, you have used a vertical algorithm to solve this problem. I like the way you explained how you solved the problem by including a small explanation with your algorithm. Perhaps next time you could talk a little bit about what 'carrying numbers' means and why you carried the numbers.

Sometimes math can be very tricky, well done to you for giving it a good go! It was a joy to read your post, keep up the good work! :)

    Toe feiloa'i fo'i,

    Cia.
