- The surface of Mercury is very similar to our moon. It has a very barren ( vegetation), rocky surface covered with many craters.
- If you are really close to the Sun then in daytime the temperature on Mercury is scorching ( very hot) reaching over 400 Degrees Celsius!
- At night however, without an atmosphere to hold the heat in, the temperatures plummet ( drop down), to 180 Degrees Celsius.
- Mercury has a very low surface of gravity!
- Mercury has no atmosphere so there is no wind or weather.
- There is also no water on the surface of Mercury but however it is possible that there could be water beneath the surface!
- There is no air on the surface but who knows if it could be trapped underneath the surface!
