Homework on Asian country: Philippines.

Philippines is in Southeast Asia which is in the Western Pacific. It comprises of more than 7,000 islands. The population is about 98.39 million. The capital of the Philippines is Quezon City which is in the City of Manila.

The Philippines are best known for their food, weather and climate, nature, shopping, paradise beaches, islands, the people and many more. Their currency is pesos. They go in cold pools, wear summer clothing such as singlets and shorts in summer. In the Philippines they speak three languages. They are Filipino, English and also their local dialects. Local dialects are regional or social language distinguished by pronunciation, the way in which they  pronounced words,  grammar, or vocabulary. There are about 78 dialects spoken by different regions, towns or provinces. Philippines are close to these countries-- China, Thailand, Japan, Korea (South), Korea (North), India, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, and Hong Kong.

Philippines have many problems such as poverty, traffic and pollution. These can lead to sickness, heart disease because of lack or not enough food and water.  These  could  cause death. These things happen because they are poor and have nothing to  eat, have no shelter and water and mainly because they don’t have anything. If they don’t eat and drink they will go hungry and get dehydrated. These things are serious because you see children sleeping on the streets all dirty and unclean.

Filipinos eat food such as, Adobo (meat or chicken), Bistek (Marinated schnitzel with onions) and sinigang (meat in a sour broth and soup) these are eaten with rice. As to desserts, they love to eat  Ube cake (purple yam cake), ensaymada (sweet bread with ube inside and shredded cheese on top) and puto (steamed rice cake with cheese on top). Philippines is a great place to be in,  even though it is burning hot!. One day,  I will have a chance to go and visit there and  have a taste of all their amazing and delicious food!!. But remember to bring a singlet because it is very hot.

Nestle globally has invested in a long term cocoa plan that is already making a positive difference in the lives of farmers, their families and communities. All these organisations are well known and also respected and share a long term commitment to improving conditions for the farmers in the developing world and as well as understanding the challenges this involves.

They have been working to ensure a reliable supply of certified cocoa from West Africa, in the quality and quantity that they need, to use in the manufacture of chocolate products for Australia and New Zealand. They have recently taken a delivery of the first shipment of UTZ certified cocoa as it becomes available. in stores. There plan is to only use UTZ certified cocoa in the Australian factory and the first product made with this cocoa will be KIT KAT four finger.

Chocolate slavery report

Chocolate slavery report

We all love chocolate… who will not love chocolate? the dark rich flavoured chocolate that melts in your mouth. Yummy Yummy….. but do you know the dark side to chocolate?Do you know what chocolate contains? Well, I will tell you,

The issue about chocolate is that boys from ages 12-16 are being sold to work in cocoa farms. This is also known as child labour and child trafficking. They work In Inhumane condition, this leads to extreme abuse but not just any extreme abuse it is also physical abuse!.

Why did it become an issue? It became an issue because the chocolate manufacturer ignored the fact that boys were being sold to make chocolate and to work on cocoa farms. And guess what!! they allowed it to happen. The most shocking thing was, they approved (agreed).

How do I use the toilet

How do I use the toilet

Do you know how to use the toilet? Do you know what a toilet is? Do you know why you use the toilet?

When you go to the toilet the first thing you have to do is pull your pants down. The next thing to do is to sit on it. Place yourself in position and start doing your business.  Then you have to wipe yourself with the toilet paper. You have to make sure that you are all clean and also the floor. Then you have to pull your pants up.

After you clean yourself you have to flush the toilet. You have to flush the toilet so that no one can see your business. You also have to flush the toilet for hygiene. Then you have to go and wash your hands with soap. You have to wash your hands because there are lots of germs and also for hygiene.

After washing your hands you have to make sure that you dry them properly because if you don’t there are still germs in you which is not good for you and your health.

Going to the toilet is an important part of life because you have to make sure that you are clean and it is for your safety.
